Climb the Roof of Africa

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, standing at 5,895 metres above sea level. Unlike technical alpine peaks, Kilimanjaro requires no ropes or climbing gear — it is a high-altitude trek achievable by any fit and determined person. Olee Tanzania Safaris guides you every step of the way with an experienced local team dedicated to your safety and success.

Available Routes

  • Lemosho Route (7–9 days) — Most scenic and highest success rate. Approaches from the west through pristine rainforest.

What to Expect

Your climb begins in lush equatorial rainforest at 1,800m and ends at the glaciated Uhuru Peak at 5,895m — five completely different ecological zones in a single week. Each day covers 4 to 8 hours of walking. Our guides set a deliberate, slow pace to maximise acclimatisation and summit success.

"The mountain is not just a destination — it is a transformation. Our job is to get you there safely and bring you back changed."

Who Can Climb?

Anyone in good physical health between the ages of 10 and 70 has a realistic chance. You do not need technical climbing experience. The key requirements are cardiovascular fitness, mental resilience, and a proper itinerary that allows your body to adjust to altitude. We help you choose the right route and preparation plan for your specific fitness level.
